At the beginning of June Josh's parents came to tow n for a few days. They are big bike riders and just so happened that they were going to be doing a week long ride that ended about an hour from where we live. This meant we actually got to see them on their way to the ride and after the ride as well. Kind of a nice way to visit...a few days on each end!
I don't know if you remember or not but several weeks before this visit, we ordered the girls new bunk beds. They came but were missing a piece (BOO!). The piece FINALLY came a day or so before Josh's parents got here. That meant that Josh had a little help from his dad putting the beds together...YAY!
The finished product! Now I just need to get a picture of the beds after they've been made!
(Which by the way, should be a whole separate post...making bunkbeds is HARD! Seriously, a huge pain in the butt!)
We had lots of fun when Josh's parents were here! We spent some time downtown just walking around and enjoying the historic parts of town! We got so tickled because my Grandmother's house and street are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (she even has a plaque on her door) and it was built in 1929. The historic building around here were built in the 1700s....that's a whole different level of historic! HA!
We couldn't let Josh's parents come to town without taking them to Carl's for ice cream (actually I think they call it frozen custard)! It is a local favorite and in the summertime the line actually wraps around the building! It's pretty tasty though!

We're so glad that Grandma and Grandpa were able to come and hang out with us in our new home! We had a great time and can't wait for them (and the rest of our family) to come back!
